A native of Massachusetts, Paul Edmonston enrolled in the Massachusetts College of Art in 1940 but soon saw his studies interrupted by World War II. After the war he enrolled in Boston University and eventually went on the receive his PhD in Fine Arts from Ohio State University in 1961. A distinguished educator, Dr. Edmonston served on the faculty of Florida State, Ohio State, Pennsylvania State University and the University of Georgia.
